APARTMENT CHAPMAN - KILLARNEY JOHANNESBURG - 2020

We finally had the opportunity to design a project we have been wanting to do for ages - the ultimate luxurious apartment bathroom.

Inspired by the cool tones and textures of the sea, with little natural light and space to work with, we were challenged with making the space feel lighter and bigger.

The carved sandstone vanity gives a naturistic feel to the space, which compliments the organic stucco finish of the blue-green walls, creating a tranquil environment.

APARTMENT CHAPMAN - KILLARNEY JOHANNESBURG - 2016

The apartment is situated on the ground floor of a 1930’s building called Gleneagles. When entering the apartment one is drawn to the north facing large living area filled with custom pieces of furniture, mid-century second hand pieces and lots and lots of books. Light attracts the users to the warm half bay window where potted plants peak into the space. The living area extends into an outdoor courtyard, which extends further into a semi-private lush green garden. The courtyard’s materials and colour palette give off a feeling of being on vacation. With Johannesburg’s perfect weather, there’s no better place to have your morning coffee or your early evening sun-downer.
