GIBS BUSINESS SCHOOL - 2020

The Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) needed a space for students to escape and work in comfort. We focused on creating a multifunctional space in the Information Centre with varying levels of comfort for unique working methods of varying student types.

Inspiration was drawn from the surrounding environment through the adorning of timber shelves with plants and historical artefacts, that lift the space and bring life and a unique depth and significance through their organic nature. The colour pallet selected for the seating was similarly inspired by the bold colours of the surrounding environment, all custom designed and curated for the individual client needs.

The lounge area establishes a more intimate and relaxed feel, allowing for meetings and discussions as well as a variety of working styles.

The reading nook is another intimate area with an working style for students as well as a quiet reading nook and small library.
