The intention was to create a welcoming space for clients and employees alike. One is greeted by the ‘Merchantec Man’ logo hand painted onto the floor when crossing the thresh hold into this ‘public’ foyer. The walls covered in Earth Cote warm up the once bare walls. Mirror encasing the column on access allows for reflections of the bespoke interiors. All of the items for this space were custom designed by Damascus giving Merchantec a unique greeting to its clients. Each piece acts as a piece of art, whether it is on the floor as a custom designed canvas rug or a light which resembles a sculpture. The large reception desk’s surface is made by Wolkberg Casting Studios and its form offers the users an 'alter-like’ greeting.
